Miguel Martinez - France
For me, this race is on the same level as the Cape Epic: the trails are beautiful and varied, and the organization is excellent.
Sarah Reiners - Germany
The race pushes you to explore your limits, and you learn to know yourself.
Felix Fritzsch - Germany
I’m super proud to win Appenninica MTB Stage Race. After the crash in 2020 I want to come back to Appenninica only for finishing the race but I took the victory and it was fantastic! I really enjoyed the tracks, the mountain and the views, I hope to come back next year.
Debora Lana - Italy
Appenninica is not just a race; it’s a life lesson that teaches you how to overcome obstacles that may seem impossible.
Antonio Prado - Spanish
One of the best weeks of our lives. Grazie!
Gordon Wadsworth - USA
The honest opinion of this correspondent that the Appenninca MTB Stage is the finest small-scale stage race he has done. Whether one attends for the challenging riding or the post race environment the courses and production are top notch.
Tiago Ferreira - Portugal
I have in many places, including the Alps and the Dolomites, of course, but I am discovering that the Apennines are beautiful in their very own way.
Milton Ramos – Honduras/Spain
Can’t believe the things I saw today. After traveling the world, you assume you pretty much know what to expect. And you’re mistaken: the climbs, the descents, the Apennine ridge we faced today are something incredible. I feel lucky to be here because I didn’t expect Appenninica to be like this: the places, the courses, and the special care they have for each rider like I had never seen before. Amazing
James Hinsby – UK
In short your event was awesome. I have never left a stage race event after a week or work and riding and thought ”wow I can’t wait for next year already. The Appeninnica did that for me. I made lots of new friends too.
Trails and the area – Unspoilt and Natural – Just WOW.
The food zones at the race had good quality and sweet and savoury things. That’s so important.
Hans Becking (Netherlands)
The views are spectacular, and the trails are super enjoyable. Appenninica MTB Stage Race is the perfect race for anyone who loves mountain biking.
Federico Mandelli - Italy
Appenninica is a mountain bike celebration with diverse and complete trails, and the Apennines never disappoint. This race could replace an entire mountain bike season on its own because it has everything, and it’s a lot of fun.
Juul Van Loon - Netherlands
At Appenninica, I found the most beautiful trails I have ever faced.
Naima Diesner - Germany
Appenninica MTB Stage Race was a fantastic experience. I found a wonderful atmosphere, the people welcomed me in an extraordinary way. I found lovely trails and landscapes, meeting many amazing people. Everyone of the organization and staff was amazing
Mark Anolik - USA
Thank you again for a great time at the Appenninica stage race! It really exceeded my expectations and was one of the best races I have ever participated in!!! I’ve been racing for over 35 years and this was incredible! For sure I’ll be back for future editions.
Mark Leeper - UK
The challenging, steep and rocky route made Appenninica MTB just about the best multi-day mountain bike race I have ever done – beating the Cape Epic, Swiss Epic and even the Transrockies and BC Bike Race (just!). Appenninica MTB was definitely helped by having a slightly smaller field and a great organisational team led by Beppe. The ‘family feel’ extended to a good mix of nationalities among the racers and excellent accommodation, food and hospitality provided in every town
Yolandi Du Toit - RSA
Team Garmin MTB grabbed the opportunity to participate at the inaugural Appenninica MTB Stage race and what a unique, quintessentially Italian experience it turned out to be.
The route, the organization, the host villages and the camaraderie between riders surpassed all our expectations.
Esther Süss – Switzerland
It was a great week, in a wonderful area and with fun trails as well as excellent cuisine and very hospitable people. Appenninica, we will definitely meet again.
Sophie Hemming – UK
The event was incredible – from the amazing riding to the breathtaking scenery. The atmosphere and the vibe that you created at the race was just brilliant, and I feel so very fortunate to have been involved in the first year of Appenninica.
Ben Swanepoel – RSA
We really like it when races are small as it feels like you are part of a family by the end of the race.
Lukas Kaufmann – AUT
THANKS THANKS THANKS again for this unforgettable week with your team in Italy – I will never forget this race!!!!
My passion is to ride (extreme) mountainbike-races in the whole world at very very beautiful landscapes. So for me Appenninica was the best mountain bike-stage-race I ride in the last 5 years. I love the mountains, I love the trails, I love the people, I love the eat and I love also the Parmigiano Reggiano.
Marco Marino – ITA
I am still with my mind on those peaks, unique, beautiful experience, fantastic places and perfect organization.
Melanie Alexander – UK
Appenninica MTB stage race is a tough but fun race over amazing terrain with stunning views.
Pre and post-race food was excellent and the friendly and passionate group of organisers made this an even more special and unique race.
The Apennine mountains were a real joy to race over, the landscape and trails offered amazing variety.
Jan Gabris – CZ
All stages had a start and finish right in the historic centers of the Apennine cities, which made the experience even more intense.
What one must appreciate – especially in the Italian summer heat – is the fact that all the time around the riders circled two doctors on enduro bikes and constantly asked if the competitors were okay and if they needed water. Mind that this type of service is not often met at races.
Amazing organization in the city, amazing euphoria, amazing encouragement people around the track.
Henrik Jappe – DK
Thanks for a wonderful race and event. Your service was outstanding.
Peter Wouters – NL
The race was really a dream for everyone! Your organization was phenomenal.
Casper Kaars Sijpesteijn – UK
Fantastic riding under tyre on up and down, super mix of simple and technical riding and perfect sceneries.
Scott Cornish / MarathonMTB - UK
The Appenninica MTB stage race may be the new kid on the block, but it has all the ingredients to firmly establish itself in the European stage race calendar.
Tough, but wow! I don’t think anyone was quite expecting the level of engaging riding we had experienced.
Putting together a new, independent stage race is a tough call, but the folks behind the Appenninica have pulled this off with every success. They have opened up the Apennine range as a hugely credible mtb destination, showcasing some of the captivating and engaging riding that this area has to offer.
